So, this is one art project that has been on my to-do list for some time, but, as you have probably noticed, there have been quite a few things on my to-do list for some time. This isn't the finished project, yet, but it'll give you a good idea of what the finished project will look like. I'm in the market for a good frame to distress or a cheap "pre-distressed" frame bought right from the store.
To preface the 'art', I'll say that one thing I have always prayed for the girls (and students in general) in our youth group, is that they would be so in love with their Lord that they would ooze Jesus. I love this analogy. I really can't think of any other way to describe it.
When you think about a sponge, the nature of a sponge is to soak in and ooze out. When squeezed, all that is in the sponge oozes from it's pores. Even when the sponge is at rest, it oozes. My prayer is that we, as Christians, would soak in so much of Jesus, that when squeezed and even when at rest, Jesus is what pours out from us. That being said:

Oh wow...amen, and I love that.
ReplyDeleteYour artistic endeavors are challenging and amazing--if you ever make that fruit of the Spirit one you've mentioned, I would be interested in purchasing one...jus' sayin. :)
no kidding, when i was in probably 7th grade there was a local christian band...light headed. and they had a song called "jesus juice" and it went something like "when you squeeze me out comes jesus juice." i think their shirts had like an orange juice carton with 'jesus juice' written on it. :) now i wish i knew where that cd was!
