This definitely comes from a place of huge conviction in my own life... glad I'm not alone!Alicia Gregghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06769101340770559231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-51992249874077327.post-77439678837209162172013-11-29T11:38:12.974-06:002013-11-29T11:38:12.974-06:00I read a quote thingy on Pinterest that said, &quo...I read a quote thingy on Pinterest that said, "Don't let yourself be so concerned with raising a good kid that you forget you already have one." Even though I don't agree with the wording of this completely (none are good except the Lord!), it was a slap in the face the day I read it. And along with this entry of yours, and a similar post of LeAnna's, it's been timely and so needed in correcting my perspective of shepherding my girls. I've found I have been more harsh than understanding of their little hearts. And harsh for selfish reasons, not even loving, disciplinary reasons.
But after I read that pin, read LeAnna's post, and now after I read your heart here, the Lord is changing the way I view my girls and their fits of emotion/anger. It doesn't mean I've eliminated discipline, but I've definitely approached it completely different and I'm seeing the fruit of it already! Praise the Lord. :) So thank you so much for this!Anglican Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07249115198113456073noreply@blogger.com
